Smoking is Harmful to Ones Health


Statistical reports from 2006 indicate that nearly one in five women and one in four men in the U.S. smoke cigarettes.

Smokers are at an increased risk for lung, breast, throat, stomach, and other cancers, as well as a variety of illnesses including heart attacks, strokes, emphysema and asthma.

Anyone who smokes more than one pack of cigarettes a day has a 20-25 times greater risk of developing lung cancer than someone who has never smoked cigarettes.

Around nine out of every ten victims of lung cancer is caused from smoking cigarettes.

A person who smokes more than one pack of cigarettes a day has over a 2000% greater risk of developing lung cancer than someone who has never smoked cigarettes.
